What is respect for workers in global supply chains: Voices of workers in garment exports

This report "explores how garment workers in India experience respect and disrespect within global supply chains. Drawing on fieldwork in Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu, the report centers the voices of workers—especially women—highlighting their everyday experiences of both respect and disrespect at work. It emphasizes that while global brands and suppliers often frame dignity in terms of wages or safety, workers themselves define dignity more broadly, including how they are treated, spoken to, and acknowledged as human beings.
